How could I make my kitchen brighter?
I have dark cabinets that I do not want to change. I have dark wood floors, that I can't afford to change. I have counter tops that are multicolored in shades of brown, black, gray and cream. I plan on changing out my counter tops but can not decide what colors to use in a counter top and what kind of back splash.
Any suggestions for some brightness on a small budget and for someone that can't make up their mind.
thanks in advance

Reddish Orange to match everything or a Dark Gray to neutralize the other mixed colors so you aren't attempting to match Tile that you tear up in another 3 to 5 years.
Hi Regina. I'm Cindy. To make a space seem bigger than it actually is, is with the use of mirrors. I learned that trick several years ago when I staged homes. Hanging mirrors opposite a window will brighten a room instantly. Hope this helps you. Best wishes.

How about covering your bar stools with a nice lively fabric or possibly adding a lighter baseboard.
