How to keep mold and mildew out of the bathrrom?

I have a small bathroom. I have a fan but my walls still get mold and mildew all over them what can I do

Wash with vinegar periodically. Vinegar kills the mold spores. Typical plight of inside bathrooms with no windows or living in a humid climate.
I know at our house, one of the biggest problems we have is not keeping the fan running long enough after the shower (me! I hate the sound of fans). But there are several other things you'll want to check with your fan to be sure it's vented properly as well, etc. or you might need a new fan. HEre's a good article to check out:

Wash the walls with bleach and water. Dry completely. Then wash again with vinegar and water. Bleach cleans the mold and vinegar kills the spores. You may consider priming and painting the walls with a bathroom paint. It has mildewcides to slow/prevent mold.

Make sure you don’t have any leaks or loose grout. Repair as needed. And add an extra fan, even if you have to put it in the hall or on a wall. And, of course, clean with vinegar. If you have any space behind the toilet, put an open box of baking soda there and change it every month. (The used soda is still perfect for cleaning the sinks and other places.) Best wishes, Tya. ☺️
Maybe try using a small dehumidifyer. It really needs to be venilated and the humidity greatly decreased. This spray is more superficial to help with cleaning, but you have to get to the root cause of the humidity. Hope this helps. Hugs, Holly

me too bad mold, hate cleaning this every couple of years and recaulking, please help
Swap out your bath fan for an auto humidity sensing, quiet running fan with greater exhaust capability than your present fan.
Switch to a water repellent shower fabric shower liner rather than plastic.
Put a squeegee in the shower and train everyone to squeegee walls and ceiling after showers.
Wipe any remaining water up using microfiber cloth, which you then wring out, very well.
Swap out bath towels/washcloths and mats frequently to reduce potential for lingering wetness.
Paint as William recommended with good primer and 2 coats of semi gloss bath paint, which better protects against mildew/mold. Benjamin Moore makes a great bath paint. Not inexpensive, but worth the money.
