How to make a farm style sliding door?

We want to divide a three seasons porch from the house with a barn style sliding door. Anyone figure out how to do one that is insulated or will keep the drafts out.

A barn door is mounted on a sliding rail so the sides are not tight. It would be hard to find or make a sliding door that would be sealed enough on all the sides to keep cold air and drafts out. If you have a sliding door/french door already that goes into the three season porch you could just install a sliding barn door over it for decorative purposes.

I love Gk's idea. We are about to tear down a deck and build a three seasons porch and I was wondering the same thing. Slider for decor only! Thanks for asking this question Jonny and thanks for the idea Gk.

I think to have it seal the drafts out you need a real door but you could easily enough make a FAUX barn door it just wouldn't slide.

Barn doors slide making an air gap so they aren't good for keeping cold temps out. A French door or sliding glass door would both do the trick and give the ability to see outside and let a large amount of light in.
