Here goes a very simple tutorial to build DIY tile side table. You will only need a few tools, a tile and some wood trim to make a modern side table.

It's always useful to have several side tables in the living room. You can use it to place decorative items or plants...but the best it you will always have a place where to let your drink ;). This side table is quite simple to make. You will need: 4 brackets, square wooden trims, a tile, silicone glue, wooden glue, smalls nails and stain.

Cut 4 pieces to make a square shape whose dimensions are the same as the tile you gonna use for the top. Screw the 4 trims together with the brackets, leaving the gap on each corner.

Cut 4 trim pieces to make the table feet, 16 inch is a regular high for a coffee table but you can adapt the dimension to your need. Put a wood trim at each corner of the square, nail and glue them together. Cut 3 extra pieces to give rigidity at the structure, nail and glue 2 between the feet. Fix the last one transversely. Once the wooden structure is done stain it, varnish it or paint it….well just give it the finish you like!

Last step, fix the tile on the structure. Put some silicone glue on the top, place the tile and pressure them together to have a good adherence. Wait until the silicone is completely dry and remove the pressure clamps. And ready to use! The tile tray make it really easy to use and to clean! I hope you will enjoy it!

How many tiles are you using? The table looks as wide as it is tall. Where did you find 16 inch tile? Or did you mean tiles I checked out the tile on your list and it comes in 8.7 inches?
