I may have asked this question before......We cut this C. Myrtle down and had the roots dug and grind up. Then new little sprouts are still coming up after a year or so. All around in the lawn where it was planted. Can't spray to kill, it kills the grass......PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you!!

I think C. Myrtle is the biggest garden pest the way it sends up shoots-I guess the only thing 'we' can do is wait for a shoot and then hit it with Roundup

I have had this issue with other plants in the garden and covered a large area with black plastic so it gets no sun and a thick layer of mulch so it gets no moisture through the plastic so far this season so good.

Hope it helps in your situation

I use a product called Brush Killer. Stronger than Roundup.Spray

very closely on the new leaves. You might lose a little grass, but sprouts will be gone.

just keep mowing/cutting them off; eventually the roots will die from lack of nourishment provided by the 'greenery' --- or try the old Poison Ivy trick --- inject the herbicide ( for woody / brush / vines ) into the stem of a sucker, and if you can find a larger, above ground root into that as well
