Ok, so decorating is so much fun, but a budget can really limit you, right? Not if you head over to your local dollar store and pick up a few items for crafting! We love to use dollar store items and upcycle them for holidays.
We decided to host a DIY Halloween Decor roundup this year. Check out our video of the dollar store crafting we put together to decorate our mantel. The video shows you how we used simple items and remade them to give them character and color.
Head on over to the dollar store to find some treasures to upcycle. We chose a skeleton head and a fun garland.
Round up odds and ends to deck out your skeleton heads.
Use markers, hot glue, beads and such to add some flair to those skulls.
We cut apart the garland and re-glued it for a different take and then glued the skeleton heads and hats to black ribbon to make a fun garland.
Just a few cheap items took our mantel from Spring (yeah, we are that behind) to a zesty and colorful Halloween fiesta. We hope you have as much fun creating as we did. Bring on the holiday fun!
