Mopping wood:
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (tap heat is fine)
Wring mop thoroughly to apply
Mopping other flooring:
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup baking soda
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (I heat on the stove)
Apply liberally with wet mop

37 years ago I was given a book about uses for vinegar. My mom always used it, so did I and the book was passed around among all my friends at the time. It is amazing how much you can clean with it. Just beware it is not for every surface, so if you are unsure, just Google or ask here.
I agree with Naomie......plain white vinegar is great! And also agree with
being aware the homemade does not always mean it's better. Some products should not go together.
I think I'm relating back to my childhood when I took everything under the kitchen sink and mixed it thinking it would be some new invention of a wonder product. I used it on the face of a black cabinet and ruined the finish. I think I've blocked out the reaction from my parents! Baha!

I just use distilled white vinegar right out of the bottle. Cuts soap scum, great for windows and mirrors, use with a nylon scrubby in the oven, etc. And no "making" necessary. If you want, you can always add a little dish detergent at the time you are cleaning.
