How can I cut cost with my cable bill?

With older tvs, it is possible to use a firestick or other technology in order to decrease or eliminate the cost of cable? Being retired, on fixed income the increases with Xfinity are getting prohibitive

If you're t.v. is compatible, try various High Definition antennas until you find one enabling greatest number of stations. Some areas can receive upwards of 70 channels this way. The antennas do better mounted high on a wall, and if you don't have apartment buildings, etc., interfering with reception.
Yes, you can get a stick or Roku, or services like Hulu or YouTubeTV to cut the cable. You'll still need the internet though.
I also called my cable co and spoke to the retention dept. They took $30 off my monthly bill. I was able to keep it, I did that 3 years ago and so far no rate hikes.
My firestick has a USB port and a also plugs in via HDMI. Just make sure that your TV has one of those to use it.
Call your provider and ask for every discount they offer...they would rather give you a lower price than lose a good customer. They have discounts for seniors and veterans at the very least.
