Hi. Spiders congregate where there's a source of food. Use boric acid around where they're hanging out and that will kill the bugs coming to visit. Remove their egg pouches so that next year you don't have the same problem. I like them because they really catch a lot of mosquitoes.
I just smack them with a fly swatter- low tech and old fashioned way. I have a house full of pets . . . A spray bottle with vinegar will work. Just wipe up right away though.
Yes, this is a low tech household, if outside I have a spray bottle with vinegar in it. Luckily where I live it is hot and dry, so not too much of a bothered here. If I had lots of them, I would look for a better option too. 🌞
