Help with windows, ideas?

We are renting in Sacramento area, the owner put in mirror film. It’s slightly mirrored on the outside,but you can still see out, just slightly less bright, also helps keep a lot of the heat out,and helps resist fading. Night time,you’ll want curtains, or shades as that’s when you can see in.

That's a beautiful view. I can understand why you don't want to block it! One of these might help.

What a lovely room! I would hang a drapery rod across all of the windows on each side and put up drapes with grommets. That way, you can slide the drapes in any direction to let in light or to darken the room. For even more privacy I would hang another rod beneath it across the length of the entire wall of windows and hang sheers. This will also let in light but give some privacy at the same time. Your other option is to install roll-up or roman shades.

I love the view with a lot of windows in my sunroom as well. As for privacy we got shades that are super slim for our sunroom so that I can have maximum view when up. They are a shade without a cord because I hate cords. You don't even really notice them when they are up. We got them from blindsgalore.com. You can get cordless shades from Home Depot or Lowes too but they just have standard sizes in stock. I know honeycomb shades are not an interior decorators pick probably but roman shades and all fabric valances come down too far when you want a maximum view. I love your sunroom:)

I have big floor to ceiling windows in my kitchen and I don't want to block the view either. I have a very light valance on them that hides a pleated shade underneath. You can mount your valances above the window too, so they only block a small portion of your actual window. You can have privacy when need and open the shades when you don't. If you don't like the valance, the shades roll up very tight, you'd probably not notice them. There are also beautiful mechanical ones today that come up from the bottom. Hope that helps. You did a wonderful job, love it. I think your best bet would be the slim line of cordless blinds which you could keep up most of the time, and only bring down when unit is rented,

Absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't cover unless you absolutely have to, but if you are adding an arbnb apt maybe some drapes that take up minimal space that you can pull back. Do you have to worry about liability with the pool and an arbnb? I would worry about that more. Not sure if this helps but you do have a beautiful space! Hugs, Holly

Bali Classic Roman Shades, customer choices. at The Home Depot. There are a lot varieties and fabrics to choose from. I like these Romans because they soften the hard edges of the room, plus they have the up/ down options.

I would use the blinds that I have seen in restaurants for sun screen. All the benefits of the view and sun guard against fabric fade.
