Recycling Tires In Your Garden

One of many ways to re-use tires and add color to your garden. All you need are some old tires, spray paint and flowers.
I saved old tires in all sizes. I bought really bright colored spray paint, I used the Krylon brand. It took 2-3 coats of paint to get the desired brightness. I let them dry for the rest of the day before I moved them.
Some of tires were positioned around the yard and a few were hung on the side of our garage. We used large hooks to hang the tires as these two tires were pretty heavy.
The next steps would be to add some dirt and plants. Brightly colored flowers (petunias are wonderful) and green vines (vinca vines are great) will really make things pop.

Put holes in the ones that are hanging so they don't collect stale water for mosquitoes.

These are sooo cute! They are great to hang them on a fence and plant flowers in the bottom! These things have become very useful in our gardens! Some folks might think them tacky, but if they are in your private space and for your own enjoyment, go for it!
