I have been trying to find a replacement door knob for our bathroom door that won’t lock but all I can find are the standard sizes. Any tips? doors (50s)?
Hi Amber, sometimes you can find vintage hardware of Etsy or Ebay if you know what size you're looking for. I have spent lots of time doing the same running to thrift stores with no luck and have always found them online. Hope that helps!
Yes, I had the same problem. Hopefully your city has a Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. They have all the "old" door knobs you could possibly want and they are cheap.
Sometimes Ace Hardware will order them for you. Good luck.
If you check Habitat for Humanity home stores they almost always have some. Also, check on ebay for vintage doorknobs, and check posts on Craigslist, or post on there that you are looking for some.
Sometimes those knobs with inside locks are called 'privacy locks'. Those specific door knobs are fairly generic. Habitat should have them and Habitat does not have clothes they have building and house ware items.

I don't know why they wouldn't work? Do you have extra thick doors? I would think you'd be able to find a replacement here. Good luck.

Thanks! We do have a habitat store nearby and I assumed it was just a thrift clothing store- I will check them out today
Here is one I found that looks identical to the one you have pictured. The style with no lock is called a hall/bath.
Have you tried Amazon? Or I see that Hobby Lobby have many different kinds of locks, knobs and pulls, some that look vintage to me.
