Why are they being dug up...is it an animal doing it?

If it’s people doing it, use a garden marker to label them. If it’s animal try to figure out what it is and either a fence or deterrent for the animal.

If by animals, surround by chicken wire or hardware cloth.

I put plastic forks, tines up, in the ground surrounding mine. Also, baby powder is supposed to keep animals away because they can't stand the feel of it on their paws.

I've placed chicken wire over the area where the bulbs are planted, then I cover/bury it all with soil. The wire keeps the bulbs from being dug up, but it doesn't interfere with them when they start coming up. You don't see the wire under all the soil. It's worked for me

I have heard planting them in old panty hose or mess bags works.
