What do I do with my mums after Thanksgiving?

Mums are perennials in Zones 5 to 9 so if you live in one of those zones you might be able to plant after Thanksgiving. Otherwise I would just bring them inside and enjoy them until spring.

You can leave them in the pot and cut them back to the base they will regrow and bloom again in the summer/fall. I always transplant mine in a flower bed then cut back and enjoy year after year. They're extremely hardy plants.

Depends where you live . Z5 or colder , Mums are pretty much an annual and will be killed by frost . In warmer climates they could well be treated as a perennial , so I just toss them after enjoying for 10-12 wks and most flowers passing anyway . Yes you could bring inside and cut back , but sounds like you have an awful lot !

I planted mine around my mailbox last year. They basically died (turned to brown sticks haha) but then bloomed again in the spring!

You could try planting them in your garden. make sure that you mulch them before winter (if you get snow). If they are the perennial sort, you will see new growth in mid spring.
