Decide on your style and access preferences. You can do barn door sliders if you have wall space on the side. Most opening of that side either use sliders or bi-fold doors.

Can use sliding doors or bifolds. I like the sliders that are mirrored.

    HI Peg,

Bifold doors would do the trick, also an accordion door could be something to think about.

I have a similar problem with the opening to my laundry area which is adjacent to my kitchen. I've already considered all the readers' suggestions, however, I don't like bifold doors (they block walking space when open), sliders (always have to juggle them so the opening fits my needs) or accordion doors (the stack takes up too much space on the side and prevent opening my dryer door) , and I don't have the wall space for barn doors. I have been trying to find a garage style door that rolls up when open, but they are no where to be found. I've just about given up.

    How about louvered doors?

Two 42” doors that open in the middle gives you privacy when closed and full 84” when opened. You would probably need 2 front doors not sure if they make that size for a closet door.
