How to make an easy owl costume?

Going to a Halloween party and would like to make an owl costume. Once done I will make a large envelope to hang around my neck. Any suggestions?

Face painting is always fun... for an owl, you could paint larger eyes around your own eyes and paint feathers on the rest of your face. For the owl costume you could create a cape that attaches to your hands for wings, and put felt pieces on it for feathers. Good luck!

Hi Diane. Here's a link for kids owl costumes, but they can be modified for adults. Are you going as Hedwig??

  Hedwig did come to mind or one of the school brown owls. Wasn't too sure if I'll make a face mask, Lone Ranger style with feathers and a beak. Still thinking this one through....
