no need. just paint it in place. https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/2016/10/25/front-door-makeover/
Put a tarp or paper under the door to catch paint drips. Hold door in place (open) with a wedge or something that will keep it from moving. Bugs shouldn't be a problem if you are using a fast drying latex enamel. Remove door handles before painting or use blue tape to protect the hardware.

Use painters tape to cover hardware. I would use a paint stir stick to put between door and frame, tape to inside of door then tape door shut will leave aspace to allow door to dry.
I have never removed a door to re-paint. I place a tarp on the floor and put a rubber doorstop firmly in place on the side I am not painting to hold it open. If insects are an issue, I would hang screen. I have a DynaTrap about 40 feet from my door and it pulls them away from coming in and I don't have a problem.
