Dollar Tree Halloween Skeleton Bride Wreath
I was at Michaels and AC Moore earlier this week. Theh had beautiful halloween wreaths. Even though they were on sale, I decided to make my own. I hit the Dollar Store-hard-and made my own! All items if not noted, are from the Dollar Tree.
I started with green 9 foot garland and metal wreaths. I only used one of each for this project....more to come!
I spray painted the garland with a Rust-Oleum Flat paint.
I wrapped the garland from front to back on the wreath versus in a circle, becasue I wanted to see garland in the back of it. The 9 foot piece is just enough. I wasn't too conerned of painting all of the green black as I was going to add some Halloween tinsle garland as well.
I had purchased a 'bag of bones' from Big Lots at the end of last year's Halloween Season. I laid out how I wanted the wreath to look.
Added the tinsle garland.
Next, I stapled a pipe cleaner to the bottom of the skull in order to secure it to the wreath.
I drilled holes in the hands and arms to be able to use the pipe cleaners again and secure them to the wreath.
Creepy Cloth was wrapped around the flowers and used as a vail for my lovely bride!
Love the flowers with their eyeballs and spiders!
I used a Halloween chain link from the Dollar Tree..around her neck and as the way to hang it.
Almost done...added a spider from the flowers to her head and some spider webs for her hair. I love this picture as it looks like she is coming out of the mirror!
Here's a good shot of her from the other side.
And finally I hung her in our dining room over a mirror.
Happy Halloween!
