How to clean & sharpen hedge clippers and other tools are rusted?

    You can clean them by soaking them in vinegar(white or cider) then WD 40. I don’t know about sharping

    buy a '''honing stone'' to sharpen, available at your local hardware store.

    to clean my tools and clippers, I always clean before use as I leave outside during the summer..

    baking soda and vinegar and water.....

    or water with a little bleach and spray on the tools, then rinse.

    it plant getting brown spots from tools, mix cup of milk and couple of tablespoons of baking soda, and spray the plant.

    I used to use a product called Naval Jelly to clean off rust. I don't know if it is still available. Rust can be removed with a wire wheel in a drill. Wear safety gear.

    WD40 and steel wool pad or green kitchen scrubby to clean them. A sharpening stone to sharpen them. Should have the stones in garden department.

    After I clean my garden hand tools for the season, I place the cutting edges in a bucket of sand for winter storage.
