Hi Susan. I'm Cindy. I did a bit of research on this topic and I learned about a spray product called Bed Bug Killer. Made by a company called Eco Raider. It comes in a 16 ounce bottle for $17 at Wal Mart. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

The video above is all good, but my husband and I were able to get rid of ours without heavy equipment.

At the first sign of the bugs we stripped the bed and washed everything in hot water, then drying on the hottest setting. While that was happening we vacuumed the bed, taking it apart. We found a small nest of bugs when doing this. We have pets so avoided poisons. Baking soda was sprinkled all over the bed, and on the floor beneath. We have wooden floors so could leave it there overnight. We got 2 mattress covers and put one on the mattress and one on the springs.

It took twice doing that routine. The second time we also sprayed a natural pesticide. Then we took the drapes down and found nesting across the top at the rod. Goodbye drapes. After a free days of finding stragglers we finally are bug free.

In our case my husband also caulked all around the window behind the bed as we feared the bugs had come in via the window. Two weeks now with no bugs!

    Good luck.

Alcohol kills them. As in rubbing alcohol. Spray them with alcohol. You will have to do it se real times, because they lay eggs & when the eggs hatch they will be back. Also the little sucker's will get inside walls via electrical outlets & light switches. If in your bedding, it has to be thrown out. You would never get all of them out of a sofa, chair or bed. Wash all of your clothing too. Spray your walls your wooden furniture, bed rails, everything. Spray, spray, spray.

Good advice offered by others. Be sure that when doing craft projects that you do not bring bed bugs into your home on used furniture, clothing, etc. They are so tiny they are difficult to see.
