Jeanette S on Jun 24, 2014I LOVE ZINNIAS! They are without a doubt the best bang for the buck! My mother used to have the best garden full of these and my sister says they are so easy to grow. I can't seem to grow them. I had luck one year and fell in love. But I remember one thing...the more you cut off the flowers, the more you have. You can fill your house with vases filled with fresh, colorful flowers! Next year I am going to conquer ZINNIAS! (I think I have too many birds and they feast on my seeds!)Helpful Reply

Leah Johnson on Jun 24, 2014never had trouble growing zinnias in NE..we always grew them on the farm which we didnt have running water also so maybe it is the heat of Florida..??? they grow well in NEbraska. which for those who dont know is in the middle of the USA proper..(the reason I say this is-after going to a National convention in Nashville, we were asked to sign our state on a map..and I was told by a lady from New Jersey that i didnt know where Nebraksa was, WHAT_? I have lived there all my life. she tho't it was on the west coast near Washington..) still laugh at that tho't...Helpful Reply

Timothy Hicks on Jun 24, 2014We at the garden center noticed often they wilt or get a fungus or bacteria if allowed to stay wet or dry out followed by excessive wilt, zinnias only ask for moisture but not too much. They can be an indication of a wet soil give them good drainage in gray soils.Helpful Reply
