When I lived in Florida we used to take the supplement Niacin, it comes out thru your skin and mosquitos hate it. If we went to the Everglades at night we slathered down with vegetable oil.
I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.

Don't laugh, but if you can, build a bat house. A bat can eat 5000+ mosqitoes a day.
