    Hi Brenda,

What we use is baking soda and vinegar, put enough baking soda to cover the drain opening (stopper removed)1 and then add the vinegar and watch the bubbles appear, wait til the action is over and then rinse with hot water. That's all you have to do!

For bathtubs use a commercial drain product. Pour it in when you go to bed and run water down it the next a.m. Othwise, put baking soda down the drain, let it sit, then pour vinegar down on top of the soda. For garbage disposals, put roughage thru them and occasionally put citrus down the drain.

If it is greasy you will need an industrial degreaser, ($2 at dollar tree), just wear gloves, apply it to a rag and Scrub.

First I clean my coffee maker by running vinegar through it. Then, I place baking soda down the drain, and follow up with the hot vinegar from the coffee carafe. Once the fizzing is done, send some hot water down the drain. Clean the carafe and run a few pots of water through the coffee maker, when you're done.
