Black worms? Where?
Can you take a picture of them? Centipedes are in this category.
Black Worms do not appear out of nowhere. You need to find the Origin.
In many cases these are alike Maggots: They Spring from old Food or a decaying Pest or Pet somebody Buried in the yard.
If you have pets it can be either.
Got a dead bird under a couch from a cat? If you own a cat you gotta look now and then, before your couch is infested.
If these are not indoors, you are lucky, winter will come and these will die, no problem atall, maybe stomp around the garden in boots for a day.
If these are getting indoors, they may already be indoors in bulk.
Check your attic, closets, drop ceilings and even behind your walls.
Take off your electric plate covers and check, if they are you need a pro and maybe a preist and the folks from Gosthunters International if it is poltergeist activity.
I doubt it is poltergeist activity...though.
If origin is small: fewer than 300 a month, you won't need a Pro Exterminator but do need to get on it fast.
These alike maggots, as spawn of flies of many sorts, make excellent bait for fishermen...
Few wives want a bait farm in the house...is what I'm saying.
So you need to: bug bomb [roach and flea, strong potent stuff] in the areas you find them while these are mutating to flies, etc, shake out your clothes, and evacuate from the abode and noxious fumes for at least 3 hours.
However, if These are 'traditional maggots', the origin you cannot find may indeed locate in your chimney, or your attic, as can even get in chimneys or attics, when a bird, bat, rat or squirrel rots therein.
Did you hear any buzzing come from your chimney in the past 3 to 8 months? Might be flies swarming to feed on a dead game, rather than bees or wasps.
I ask this, as: I find it more Likely it is not a black maggot atall, instead: soot on a white maggot that can only take care of by a few Potent Bug Bombs, in the Base of your Chimney, every couple of weeks until your chimney sweeper gets the dead animal and soot out.
