How do I take care of a pineapple plant.
I have a pineapple plant that I grew from the top of one I bought at the grocery store. It is 5 years old and now has a baby pineapple on it. (8 inches tall,5 inches around). I live in Ohio. How can I keep my plant growing inside this winter.

Bring it in at night, every night for about two weeks before the first frost in your area to get it acclimated to its new environment
If the plant is 5 years old what have you done with it for the past 5 winters? My sister just brought hers in this week. Find a place close to a window for lots of light. Put it on its own small table in front of a window if you have nowhere with good lighting to sit the pot.
I would bring it inside only for the reason that someone or something stole the baby pineapple that I grew for five years from the plant on a Halloween night!
What have you done in previous years? See if these help.
