There is a product called "Goo-Gone" but I'm not sure it would be strong enough to do the trick. Maybe call or go to a Home improvement store and ask them for advice.

I think they are referring to adhesive left after removing slip strips. I'd like some advise on that too

Rub coconut oil it get as much as you can off, then apply a mixture of apple cider vinegar and baking soda. Let it set for 10 minutes. Repeat if necessary. Then pour boiling water on it. It should come right off. Repeat if necessary.

WD 40 or plain old cooking oil. Let sit for 15 minutes and take a plastic scraper and it should come right off.

WD-40 will work. It is quite smelly but if you place it on the strips and then cover with plastic it will do its work. Use a soft plastic scraper to remove as much as possible after using the WD-40 soak. It may take more than one attempt to get all the adhesive off. Then you can scrub the bathtub well using Dawn dishwashing liquid and a soft scrub brush.

HI Msg: WD40 removes a lot of adhesives. Spray it on, let it sit for a bit, maybe 40 or 50 seconds, and then try to scrape it off with a plastic putty knife. You may have to do it a couple of times, but this should work. It works for me :)
