Heat - do not believe those new sprays in bottles, etc. will work. They don't. Bed bugs lay eggs inside walls, in the smallest cracks.... You can have your house tented. That will work.. Put all clothing in plastic bags, leave it outside in the summer heat. They get in the edges of your mattress and come out at night to bite.
If you live in an apartment, move! They travel from apartment to apartment and having an exterminator spray will not get rid of them.
The United States has an epidemic of bedbugs. Read up on them.
Call the exterminator.
