Kitchen sinks get more use & abuse than any other sink in the house. Spend $80 and replace it with a stainless steel sink. Spend $100 and get one that’s going to take accidentally dropping the crock pot in the sink and won’t dent.

Shop on line. If it’s a 2-basin sink, yes, it will be more. But no where near $900- half that. Of course, there’s a labor expense, depending how that sink was mounted.

If it’s a porcelain over iron sink with chips in the porcelain, then hire a pro, as you’ll get a warranty with that.

If it’s acrylic, once again, hire a pro.

I had my two person Jacuzzi coated by a pro that Jaccuzi Corporate HQ said was trained to their standards. I needed that warranty, as there were drips in his work.

If you spent $900 on your last sink, then it should have a factory warranty for certain “wear” items.

I got Koehler to replace my $400 kitchen faucet, because it has a lifetime warranty on the issues it developed.

You need to get the exact size and shape to fit your cut out. Is it stainless? There's a way to buff it out and make new again. You'll have to Google it. If replace make sure it's at least an insulated 18 gauge or better 16 gauge. A good sink is expensive, usually $600 +. Hopefully all you have to do is buff.

I agree w/Cheryl. Kitchen sinks take a beating! Just replace it! The folks at Home Depot can show you how to remove the old one & install the new or you can have them come install it for you. Good Luck :)
