if you take a paint sample in to your local paint center they can usually do a pretty good color match. Good luck!

Yes, you have to get it matched and repaint.

    Hi Siq,

You'll have to repaint to make it a uniform color or have someone else come in and redo the wall. If this happened to just 1 wall, I would say just do that to 1 wall, it will probably not be too noticeable when you look at the whole room. If the touch up was done on multiple walls, they would need a repaint those as well.

Buy a quart of paint in the original color, if you know its name/number (or use paper swatches to compare against your wall) and paint the entire wall. Any color difference will be unnoticeable against adjacent walls that are at a right angle. You must do all of the wall, though, so how much paint you need may be more than a quart. I am not familiar with the type of paint you mentioned, so forgive any irrelevant advice.

    What is Jotin fenomastic?

  • call the manufacturer and tell them what happened. They may have a suggestion for you. If the other was painted a while ago-you may never match it perfectly as paint slowly changes over time. But maybe by feathering into the old it will help blend in so it is not so noticable.

All excellent ideas. I would only add to try using a primer first then reapply the paint. This might take care of your problem.

If the paint was sprayed onto the walls in the beginning, they add water to the paint so it will go thru the spray hea

d easier and this changes the color of the paint. So, put a bit of your touch up paint in a cup and mix a bit of water with it. You'll get a better color match. Do not mix water into your can of touch up paint as this will make mildew grow in the can.

To get a match for your wall paint -- take a razor knife and cut a very shallow 1" square. You only want to cut the paper from the wall board and do it behind a piece of furniture or any hidden area. Very carefully lift off the 1" square. Use that square to have your touch up paint tinted. To touch up your paint in small areas try using a cosmetic sponge and pouncing the paint on. The sponge will leave a slight texture that will help the touch ups blend in better. And don't forget to spackle and touch up over the place you harvested your "paint chip."
