I have about 6 large plastic bins and would like a repurposing idea to decorate them to use as planters?

Hi Deb! The least expensive (and easiest) update would be spray paint intended for plastic/vinyl. Both Krylon and Rustoleum make sprays you could use. There are also, besides some fun colors, stone and metal look sprays. How about painting your house number on one (or more)? They could be a great seasonal décor, too, with an artificial Christmas tree "planted" in one. Have fun!

Take the rope from the handles and hang them from the fence and put a board going across and add in hanging plants and put a some different sizes of plants but make sure they are in with the handles and let them wrap around the handles too.Plants need water so let the rain and snow help you out there if you don't have snow then drill holes on the bottom plants need to drain at some point about a half inch drill hole and if you want to make sure they drain then take small pvc pipes where you just drilled and put them into re catch the water so you have dual purpose for your plants . Make sure you space the baskets evenly or make some go up and others down and use smaller boards for these plants will love the sun too.

Yes for the paint and the drilled large holes for plants. If you need plant height in a large garden for curb appeal arrange the pails near the back of the garden and place shorter potted plants in front for a tiered effect. As this is a bit late for putting in plants for the season keep them in the pots and place them inside the large filled pails (soil or any kind of filler to hold and hide the pots inside the pails)
