Hi Cheri. My name is Cindy. Cut your peonies almost to the soil this Fall. Put 3 or 4 inches of mulch to cover the plant for the winter. In the Spring when the new growth starts to peek up thru the mulch is the best time to either transplant your peonies or split them to start another peonie plant. I hope this info helps you. Good luck and happy gardening.
Hi Cheri,
I looked up various web sites but none of them mention zone 6. My suggestion to you would be to visit your local garden center and ask them as they will be in Zone 6, wouldn't they?
Thank you.
