This summer I had a spider lay all her babies in my bedroom. Being disabled this made me very sick and left scars from the mother who jumped off my nightstand and my husband lost it . Her bites on my arm left two holes like a snake bite. At that time I wasn't aware of all the babies in t he process of hatching in a pillow on my bed every time sitting on the side of my bed I would rush my hair and too my horror they were falling into my lap only a few were able to run the others needed more time. My husband bought t gel shampoo when he couldn't find any bites but my scalp had several areas coved with a red rash. No one believes me but I still feel stinging bites and no spiders. My nerves were already bad with fighting ms and a broken hip. With winter coming everything on the internet says spiders will come into your home to get away from the cold we had a exterminated but now they only spray foundations because I am too ill to be out of house five hours every month and the spray would only kill adults not newly hatched ones. I now all these sounds crazy but it is real and I need to get them out of the house and my bedroom. Please any help would be appreciated thankyou. Wendy

  • Oh no! Ok here is what you need to do. Your bedroom needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. Wash ceilings, walls, everything with a vinegar water solution, rinse then dry. ALL bed linens (including pillows), washed with vinegar in the rinse and a half cup of baking soda added to the wash. Vacuum literally everywhere, including your mattress. Closets too. Wash your clothes and keep quarentined until everything has been cleaned and is spider and spider egg free. Spritz mattress with rubbing alcohol before remaking the fresh bed.

Call your doctors and have them prescribe home health care for you. Chances are you can get some help with this.

Spiders hate peppermint. Get some peppermint oil, apply to cotton balks. Place in little dishes or plastic containers all over your bedroom and throughout the house.

A few years back I was bit by a spider on my eyelid. Swelled up something fierce. Made the mistake of going to urgent care. They tried to tell me I had a form of shingles. I told them NO. idiots. Made an emergency appointment with my ophthalmologist - yup spider bite. He gave me a topical prescription ointment and overnight it was 50% better. He also called and spoke to the Yahoo doctors I went to see - and had a few choice words for them. Needless to say I filed a report. Their attorneys contacted me to try and buy my silence. No deal. I can't be bought at any price.

So call your doctor and see what they might be able to do for you. With having MS your options may be a bit limited but surely they can do something for you. I believe you!!! Get an exam from the doctor to make sure baby spiders are not hatching under your scalp! It has happened, so be persistent. Don't take no for an answer.

Keep us posted, you are in my prayers! 🤗

Very extreme, but Naomie is right. When you bring your stuff back in after everything is cleaned ( I wouldn’t wash the walls, but do dust them and get all spider webs) put everything away, don’t leave piles, where they can get in and nest. Get rid of anything you no longer use. Try for more of a sparce atmosphere dust and vacuum frequently. I’d get new pillows, Ross will have great prices on those.
