Do you use the outside water in the winter? If not, then I would suggest that you turn the water off from the outside and drain the hoses.

    1. Locate the shut off valve, which is usually under the sink in the kitchen and the half bath. Turn the water off.
    2. After locating the valve and turning the water off, check outside to make sure that the water is off.
    3. You are ready for winter! Put your hose away.

Unattach the hoses, drain them of water and store in a garage or shed. I usually store them on a reel to prevent kinks.

We have outside water faucet. .we drain hoses and if the water faucet is connected to your house you can buy a faucet cover at home depot or Lowe .the one in ground is a frost proof faucet. .we don't have to do anything to it .the one connected to house had to shut water off in crawl space under house. . Good luck. .
