Hi!
I helped a lady who had a very old house which was drafty and cold during the winter. I installed new weather-stripping around the windows and doors. There are different types of weather-stripping available, some even have a self-adhesive on them so you don't have to nail it on.
If you have rooms that aren't being used very much, then you can also close the vents in them so that your heat is directed only to the areas you're mainly in. Close curtains or blinds at night to keep the cold at bay, and open your curtains or blinds during the day so the sun can help with some warmth.
On really cold days, I make meals that need a lot of time to cook, like dry beans, casseroles, or even a slow-cooking roast, so that the oven helps to warm the house.
Hope these suggestions help you stay warm!
Close off windows that don't receive full sun. Pull back curtains to allow full sun in on those windows. Use thermal lined insulated curtains on all windows in the evenings when they are drawn shut.
Caulk and weather stripping around doors and windows.
Add storm windows or plastic on windows.
Socket Sealers for switch plates & outlets. You will be shocked at how much cold air comes in around those.
