How can I learn to do masonary work the correct way?

I have a pile of bricks sitting for years in my backyard due to lack of finding a mason with no time for my job or overly expensive if I do. The same for a drywaller. Most are working for contractors.

Watch lots of You Tube videos and practice. Some people had good luck with Homeadvisor.com, or if you are on Nextdoor.com, I have found several great service professionals through my neighbors.

You can watch videos, but both of those jobs require professionals if you want the job to look right.
For masonry, watch some of Mike Hadduck's videos on YouTube, he's an old school master mason.
