My grandmother made these for me 42 years ago they are very precious to me they need to be cleaned but I do not want to harm can anybody give me any suggestions
Buy those dry cleaner cloths from the store and use them in your dryer. They work great!

Hand wash or place in a lingerie bag and wash on gentle cycle in cold water, minimal detergent, and a couple heaping tablespoons of baking soda and vinegar in the rinse cup instead of fabric softener. Only let it spin for a minute or so to get the water out, then remove and air dry, you do not want the spin cycle to mis shape them.
Option 2 is to hand wash in cold water with Orvus quilt soap, squeeze gently to remove excess water and air dry.

I would take them to the dry cleaners. They are precious and sentimental and I would only trust them to the pros.
In my experience, dry cleaners don't want to deal with precious things, or delicate things. I might try, if you have an especially good dry cleaners, but I would expect a "no."
They don't look very dirty. What I would do is put a nylon "sock" over the hose attachment to my vacuum an gently go over the whole doll. You want something over the attachment because you don't want to suck up eyes or hair, but just dust. I would really think about borrowing a Rainbow vacumn if you can, (if you don't have one), because I think it gets the most dust, compared to other vacumns. If they still smell dusty, I might pop them into pillowcases or nylong net bags and put them in the dryer ON AIR ONY, no heat for a few minutes.
If they had spots or stains, you would treat them like uphostery. Try to sponge out the stains. If absolutely necessary, give them a little handwashing, squeeze out the soapy water, rinse again and squeeze out the rinse water. Carefully. Again, the uphostery cleaner might be best, especially if you find some that doesn't need to be rinsed.

What about oxyclean on a delicate cycle with gentle spin? The commercials claim it cleans old, dingy, lace. Annie's dress would look pretty white again. Check oxy label. Good luck.
Try oxi clean…. It will brighten them up and remove the stains. Soak clothes separating.
