Trim the geraniums back. Water them well & let drain. Next day put them in a place where they get no day light. We put them in the garage. No water during their hybrination. When spring comes they will look pretty pathetic but once you put them out in the sunlight & water well with some plant food mixed in the water. They will start perking up & looking good in a week. It takes a little time but they will be back. We leave for the winter & come home in the spring & put them right out. We've done this for several years now. Remember to repot them when needed or the soil won't hold enough water for them to survive.
