Locktite PL300 is specifically for the application you mentioned. But why just 1/2"? It has a very low R value and is not thick enough to be a thermal break (at least 2"). Are you adding something else on top of the 1/2"? If you are building a stud wall and using batt insulation the 1/2" is not the way to go.
