How do I hide the meter so it can still be read? It is in the front of my house...ugly

Can you install a trellis in front of it? It would need to be far enough away so that someone can go behind and read it - but if you grew vines on it it could be hidden from the front.
Call your utility company, ask them what distance away from the meter they recommend in order to plant a shrub.
Maybe they can change it out for a meter that can be read from the street. My meter is in the back. I have two large dogs and keep my gate locked. They changed out the meter and also gave me a lock for the gate so they could have a master key if they needed to check for a gas leak.
