Cola soda stained toilet bowl?
I have used coke as a toilet bowl cleaner. Unfortunately this last time I must have left it in tooo long and now it is stained (ugly!) and I’ve tried everything to remove it. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Clorox bleach should do the trick.
I’ve tried that, scrubbing and also just let it sit for awhile. Unfortunately the stain, is all the way on the bottom towards the back of the bowl. I’m at my wit’s end; it’s embarrassing because it looks like poop! I thank you for replying.
If all else fails, you could try muriatic acid. Precautions are necessary, you need excellent air circulation as inhaling the fumes is very hard on the lungs. I blow a fan across the area towards an open window, but still cover my nose and mouth with a towel. I scrub with a regular toilet brush and rinse it well when you flush the toilet to rinse it out and it has never hurt my brush. The muriatic acid will not hurt the porcelain bowl, but should have it unstained and sparkling in a very short time. I have done this when I have very hard water or well water and it worked very well. If you have a septic tank, I am not sure if it would affect it.
Is it possible that the acid from the coke ate away at the enamel in the toilet and that is what is causing the discoloration? Coke shouldn't stain like that.
If things get really bad, try a Pumice stone.....IT works FOR SURE!
Don't use muriatic acid. It will etch the porcelain finish. It's used for etching concrete for stain.
Try using The Works toilet bowl cleaner from Dollar Tree. Something may have ate away at the enamel coating. Coke doesn't do that. It can be left in the toilet overnight without any problem. Check inside of the toilet tank for any corroded/discolored metal. Even minute particles suspended in the water may have reacted with the acid in Coke. Copper and brass can be the culprit.
Thank you so much. Will do. I’ll try anything!
