I have these little gnats that come out of nowhere. ?

I have tried to get rid of them but am having no luck. Some people have called them drain flies but they don't come out in just the kitchen. I have put up those jelly decorations in my kitchen window and they stick to them in the summer time. Exterminators have not gotten rid of them. One or two will just appear in other rooms. This has been going on for years. Any suggestions?

These little pests are very annoying, chances are they have entered your house on the produce, when ever possible keep your fruit in the refrigerator, clean up any spills right away. Wash your fruit as soon as you get it home. These insects breed very fast, so it is unlikely they live very long, so you are seeing their offspring already.

We get those here in Virginia too. Take a small container (we use a small ramekin) and put enough to fill the bottom of the container. Use either apple cider vinegar or Balsamic Vinegar. Cover the container with cling wrap and poke a few small holes in it with a toothpick. The gnats go in but they’re not smart enough to get out. This really bad does work. Don’t put it near you because it gets swarmed with bugs. I have included a picture of my container. I’ve had this one out for 2 or3 weeks. Very effective!
Do you have plants where you are seeing the gnats? That might be the problem. My girlfriend has made a contraption that works very well, but you have to change it out about every week if the gnats are really bad. Here's the link where she got the information.
