What is the best way to remove the asparagus patch from the backyard?
We moved into a home with an asparagus patch in the middle of the backyard. It was growing profusely last spring, but has now gone to seed and filled with weeds.

You can dig them up and move them to a different spot or you can just cut them down and keep mowing over them the root need the plant to keep going. It may take a while for them to stop it’s better then digging.
I would post a "free you dig up" ad on your local buy-sell-trade list. I look for and dig up wild asparagus to plant in my yard and would love to see a free ad!
