End Grain Cobble Block Wood Tile Flooring
Just wondering what people thought about our end grain wood tile flooring idea. So many different ways to lay out. What's your favorite?
Vinyl is very durable, easy to put down if you go with the kind you snap together. It is much more water resistance and can be used easily all over the house, including the bathroom and laundry room. I am thinking about putting this over our hardwood and in the bathroom (it really needs new flooring, the linoleum looks horrible). We have three dogs and the hardwood is very hard to keep looking good with the wet feet all the time, and the wear and tear. We have the wood look tile planks in our back room, and they look really nice next to the hardwood in the dining room. We use that room as a library for all our books and to keep all our pots of plants and flowers for the winter.
Hardwood is always my personal number one choice. But it is not for everyone. Vinyl is easier to clean and maintain.
Consider the part of country you live in and your lifestyle. Kids? Pets? Elderly occupants or visitors? All things to consider.
Tile is fabulous, but it can be horribly cold in winter if you live where it snows, unless you install heating underneath the tiles. Plus cleaning the grout turns some people off.
