When this small house was purchased, the yard was overgrown and full of old yard decorations in dire need of repair and paint. The before and after photos are shown. The process was easy: apply inexpensive acrylic paint and then coat with a spray shellac. It really was that easy.

Amazingly, the projects for painting the weather worn cement objects found scattered in the yard only needed the inexpensive acrylic paint and 2 coats of shellac to protect them.

Various sponges and brushes could be used and the colors depend upon the cement objects you will scatter around the yard and garden. Paint the acrylic on, let it dry well, coat it with the shellac spray, let it dry over night, and add the last shellac coat. It should last 5 or more years without looking worn. These are almost all that old now.

And after. Notice the details in the tail, ears, feet, and spots on the fawns. I love the eyes of these fawns too.

and then put together after being painted. Notice the details with the toads. Who does not have squirrels invading a feeder? They look real as they scurry up and down the base and sit on top to feed.

What a lovely place to relax and enjoy the yard "wildlife" in the back yard and patio. Even the chairs got fresh paint on the wood and frames as well as new cushions. This is perfect for the mild winter in the arid southwestern USA. If you count the time to let everything dry, this project was done in a weekend.
