Sometimes if polyester fabric has already been dried with heat, stains can set into the fibres.

Do you have any idea what the 'dye' stains might be from?

Yep, the laundry monsters. The only thing I successfully removed from white cotton slacks was ink! I didn’t use hair spray but my Dad used Mink & Mom Auqua Net. I called from my truck for heads up. I grabbed the can of Mink ( softer scent) and had paper towel under spot & also above after spraying the ink with hairspray and it WORKED! My Dad grinned, new outfit saved and shared a tip with my Pops! 🤗

Agree that the dryer heat may have set the stain, but I would get some Awesome Laundry Booster in the canister, its the poor man's Oxyclean, from the Dollar Tree, and give it try.

What is the fabric? if its cotton, you could also bleach it I use a 10% bleach water solution in a spray bottle, and spritz stains on white clothes all the time.

I never wash my whites with colored clothing., seperate and wash seperately.

If it's cotton fabric, after treating as Sharon advised, try rewashing and add a few drops (absolutely no more!) of "bluing" (found in the laundry aisle), to 1 cup of cool water, added to your rinse cycle or fabric softener compartment.

Use nothing else in addition to the rinse cycle. "Bluing" intensifies white clothing appearance.

I checked on their website, and Under Armour clothing is generally polyester/nylon/spandex content.
