How do you prepare hydragas in the fall so they bloom again in the Sum

    Iv deaf limbs on,snip dead flowers .Flowers on dead limbs,at least on Broom Stick Everlasting Hydrangeas,compost around bottomor some people prune down to s couple of feet of plant base. I live in Wa. State.

    You can cut them back to the ground in late winter and they will come back and have lots of blooms

    In southern Minnesota, I cut the blooms in late winter/early spring and also prune the branches lightly. Cutting way back has not been good for my hydrangeas as I like them bigger. However, they can be pruned to whatever size you would like.
