A Special Halloween Treat Bag for My Granddaughter
I try to limit candy for my granddaughter for holidays. At almost eight years old, she has many of her adult teeth, and we try to help her with sweet experiences, instead of sweet things to eat. So, while I was at an area dollar store, I found the perfect bag to start her treat bag.
Sturdy, non-woven fabric, I know she'll use it for other things, too, as she has with other bags I've given her.
She loves crafts, so, I started with a little suncatcher paint set. She loves mermaids, and her room currently has mermaids, fish and waves on the walls.
Some light up bracelets are perfect for trick or treating!
Some bling for decorating! How could you go wrong?!
She loves geography (and is collecting keychains from across the country), and puzzles. Good for eye/hand coordination and memory.
A small stretched canvas for her artistic play.
She loves glitter glue!
Most children love getting mail, so I of course bought her a Halloween card to mail.
I threw in a calendar for next year, too.
Since she loves Reese's peanut butter cups, I threw in a couple from my candy stash for Halloween.
So with a few thing from the dollar store, she will have some fun and craftiness, and just a little sweet. The card will go in the mail!
