Spray it on and roll it in glitter. Mod podge might be a better option though.
Or buy spray glitter, will hold up better than hair spray.

You know there's actually a glitter spray that would work better. Check the paint aisle in any craft store.
The easiest way I know is to paint Mod Podge on the jar and roll it in epsom salts while still wet. You can get glitter pray also, but I think the Mod Podge/epsom salts is the prettiest and most realistic looking (my personal opinion). Any color of tea light or real candle works look gorgeous inside.
