How can I save my Christmas catuese?

Stick a few healthy pieces in a jar with water and they will root. Change the soil and check for insects do not over water potted plants. I have a plant that I have kept growing for 30 years you can stock pieces in dirtas well

Start taking cuttings, from the top growth. I found rooting these in water the easiest way, then replant in new soil and water lightly.

I repot about every 2-3 years. for the cuttings I start them in small pots and change them out as the plant gets larger. I also give them a shot of fertilizer ever few months not much.

My Christmas Cactus is a cutting from a 4 generation plant. I water a little every 3 week. But I also take slips and just put them in potting soil. I started this plant 4 yes ago. This is the first yr it's going to bloom. My Sis has a piece of this plant. Hers is huge last yr she had over 100 blooms. And she also feeds it every couple of months. Not sure if this will help you. Guess maybe I wanted to share this. Good Luck.

Stop watering for a while. The rot is caused by over watering and should stop if you cut back on the water. The stems that are already rotting should be removed but the rest should be alright. My Christmas Cactus is over 25 years old and still blooms when it wants to. I usually get a few blooms at Thanksgiving, more at Christmas and a final showing around Easter.
