It's breast cancer awareness month and I'm playing with my first jar of CUREiously Pink Fusion Mineral Paint.

As the name suggests Fusion Mineral Paint will give a portion of the proceeds from each jar of this color sold to breast cancer research.

This limited edition paint color will be available at your local Fusion Mineral Paint retailer in late October.

I am happy to participate in this project as the daughter of a 30 year breast cancer survivor. I am the mother of 4 daughters as well so awareness and finding a cure to this terrible disease is very important to me.

Pink is not usually my go-to color so coming up with a project for this beautiful hot-pink was my weekend challenge and I was up for it.

First, I searched Pinterest for some inspiration... I was surprised at some of the fun colored Christmas trees I found there.

Seeing how most of Pinterest is beginning to think about the holidays I thought a pink Christmas tree might be fun. I had just the tree... it is a  25" metal tree with removable arms and mine had a big star on top. Pink would be the perfect color to display my repurposed ornaments for the holidays.

I painted the tree with 2 coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in CUREiosly Pink.

There was no prep required, just go ahead and paint.

When the star was dry I coated it with a coat of  Fusion Ultra Grip, it works like glue. While the grip was still wet I sprinkled the star with a fine pink glitter. It is great for so many other projects as well. The pink glitter made this unique tree just perfect!

How cool is that?!!!

So when you're thinking paint this season think about a color you may never have used before. Painting for a CURE is a bonus!

This hot pink CUREiously Pink is such an awesome color

I got carried away painting everything in sight!
